Capability Outcomes

Assess whether patients’ health literacy, communication skills, or computer confidence in managing diseases, communicating with health care providers (HCPs), or operating digital devices increased as expected. It refers what the patient knows and acquires.

What does patient outcomes mean?

Studies used a variety of quantitative and qualitative factors and variables to measure and describe patient outcomes, referring to five themes (emotional outcomes, perceptual outcomes, capability outcomes, behavioral outcomes, and clinical outcomes), and twelve subthemes.
